 Purpose

 
The Curriculum Committee serves as a subcommittee of the Academic Senate and is responsible for the approval of new courses/programs and revisions to existing courses/programs​​.
 

 Operating Procedures

 
  • The committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 12:45-2:15pm in the Faculty and Staff Center (FSC). The committee typically meets in January, but does not meet in June or July.
  • A quorum consists of 50% of the voting members, plus one.
  • All meetings of the Curriculum Committee are open and public.
  • Conduct of meetings is outlined in the Curriculum Committee Operating Agreement.
 

 Composition

 
  • LACC Academic Senate Vice-President (Curriculum Chair)
  • Academic dean (ex-officio)
  • LACC Academic Senate President
  • LACC Articulation Officer
  • One representative from each department appointed by the LACC Academic Senate President. Each department nominates their representative for appointment by the Senate President. All eligible members of the committee must complete a training session with the Curriculum Chair in order to vote in the meetings.
